What is The Right Story and What are its Goals?
HOW DID THE RIGHT STORY BEGIN?
The Right Story is a multi-media mission ministry started by Angelos Kyriakides. Angelos grew up in East Vancouver and lived a lifestyle that was anything but Christlike. Substance abuse, violence, and crime were all regular aspects of Angelos’ life until God intervened through a series of steps that led him to be a follower of Jesus Christ. At first, Angelos believed that all religions led to God and practiced Buddhism, New Age, Confucianism, Islam and more. But once confronted with the claims of the Bible he began to explore Jesus more deeply. In time, God was gracious enough to reveal Himself more fully to Angelos and lead him into a personal relationship through Jesus Christ. Since then, God has called Angelos to reach others with the same life-saving message and give people hope through the Gospel. Part of this also involves apologetics and reaching people through media. Now, more than ever, people need to be grounded in the story of Scripture, not the hopeless narratives that the world tries to offer. Everyone uses stories, otherwise known as “meta-narratives,” or worldviews, to make sense of their world, but only the Biblical Worldview answers humanity’s ultimate questions. That’s why the Gospel is a person’s entryway into the “right” story.

WHAT IS THE MISSION OF THE RIGHT STORY?
Christ commissions all His followers to go into the world and make disciples of all the nations (Matthew 24:19). At The Right Story we seek to do this in three main ways: Engage, Equip, and Edify.
Engage – You can’t make disciples if you don’t engage with people outside the four walls of your local church. Angelos and Associates of The Right Story seek to engage non-believers through several ways: public (open-air) preaching, sharing the gospel through tracts and conversations (The Right Story produces our own evangelism tracts), and reaching out to people online through media.
Equip – The Right Story seeks to equip the Church with the tools needed to defend the Gospel and give people a reason for the hope that is in Christ (1 Peter 3:15). This is commonly referred to as Apologetics. Apologetics can function offensively (to aid evangelism) and defensively (to guard against rival worldviews). We hope to equip people through our writing, media, classes, and workshops.
Edify – In the Greek the word edify is “oikodome,” meaning “building up,” as in constructing a building. God calls us to be edified, or built up according to His Word. The Right Story seeks to edify believers by providing content that teaches a proper understanding of God’s Word in relation to the world around us.
